Skin & Lip Fillers

RESTYLANE

Restylane is a clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid that is specifically formulated to act like your body's own naturally produced hyaluronic acid, helping to visibly correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, including the lines that run from your nose toward the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds) and the lines that run from the corners of your mouth toward the chin (marionette lines).

The lips and the lines around the mouth, like other areas of the face, show signs of aging as you get older. This often results in lip thinning, lost shape and an increase in vertical lines above the lip. Restylane Silk is designed specifically to provide natural-looking results in these particular areas by using smaller, smoother hyaluronic acid particles than those used in other Restylane® products.

Restylane® Lyft

Over time, the natural fat that surrounds the cheeks begins to deteriorate, resulting in sagging skin, more prominent wrinkles and a reduction of volume. Restylane Lyft, formerly known as Perlane-L®, is an injectable hyaluronic acid gel used to correct volume loss and treat wrinkles in the face. Through nonsurgical injections, Restylane Lyft is specifically designed to add fullness to the cheeks and midface area, which can result in a more natural-looking, youthful appearance.

Restylane® Refyne

Restylane® Refyne is designed with XpresHAn Technology™ to help soften laugh lines (nasolabial folds and marionette lines). This can help you restore a more natural look to your face while maintaining your facial expressions. So, you always look like you.

KYBELLA®

The active ingredient in KYBELLA® is synthetic deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, KYBELLA®destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin. Once destroyed, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, so further treatment is not expected once you reach your desired aesthetic goal.

Since everyone's chin profile is different, the number of treatments varies from patient to patient. Your healthcare specialist will help determine how many treatment sessions you need based on the amount and distribution of your sub-mental fat and your personal treatment goals. Each KYBELLA®treatment session is given at least 1 month apart, and you should not receive more than 6 treatments. In clinical studies, 59% of patients received 6 treatments.

Restylane Silk vs. Juvederm and Other Dermal Fillers

Hyaluronic acid is a sugar naturally occurring in the skin. In gel form, when used as a wrinkle filler or facial volume filler, it attracts the water in the skin, resulting in smooth wrinkle improvement or volume enhancement. Unlike injectable collagen, the first wrinkle filler, it is not a protein so there is almost no risk of skin allergy.

The hyaluronic acid fillers currently on the market are Voluma , Juvederm from Allergan; Perlane, Restylane, Restylane Silk, from Galderma and Belotero from Merz. The products differ in the viscosity or particle size of the gel so there are differences in where they are used.

Sculptra®

Sculptra Aesthetic is an FDA-approved injectable that helps gradually replace lost collagen — an underlying cause of facial aging — for results that can last more than two years.*

Sculptra before and after

It's used to correct shallow to deep facial wrinkles and folds.

Before and after comparison with Sculptra

Sculptra when injected into the body, the main ingredient stimulates production of collagen, which helps to restore lost volume. Treatment areas include face, buttocks, thighs (cellulite) and crepey skin of the chest and inner arms.

Not all treatments or injectables are created the same. Some target different areas of the face, and, more importantly, produce different effects.

Traditional collagen creams purport to deliver collagen that is absorbed by the skin. However, collagen molecules are too large to penetrate the dermis. So, in actuality, most of these treatments include vitamins and hold moisture, making them suitable moisturizers that can briefly improve skin's appearance.

Collagen dietary supplements are meant to facilitate the production of collagen within the body. However, collagen is a protein that, when ingested, is broken down by the digestive system. Results for these types of treatments are inconclusive.

Toxins work by temporarily weakening muscles, typically in the forehead, to minimize frown lines. Results appear within a couple days and can last up to a couple months.

RADIESSE®

Radiesse® provides an instant lift by restoring lost volume in areas of the lower face, effectively treating moderate to severe wrinkles and folds. And it continues to work with your body, stimulating the natural production of collagen for a more refreshed appearance that can last up to a year or more in many patients.

The unique Radiesse® formula provides lift in the areas below deep wrinkles and folds, diminishing their appearance for a more refreshed look.

The hand and facial filler works to add volume under the skin, and over time, the benefits of Radiesse® continue by stimulating your body's own natural collagen.
